They told me that I was chosen to be one of them because I have received the award in 2016, I am so delighted to be in it.
In 2016, I received a Consul-General’s Commendation award for my work towards origami.
I have been working very hard but it was a surprise that the government recognised me.
I’m still doing my best and enjoying the origami.
Thank you very much, everyone! I couldn’t do without your support.
I was featured on the local magazine in September.
It is so nice to see my artwork in a nice big room.
You can see my spring exhibition, “Untangled – Follow the red string” at the eye doctors Mona Vale between September and November 2020.

We have lost our freedom to travel because of the Corona pandemic at the moment. We can still talk on the phone, we can see each other on the monitor srteens, but I still feel the distance.
We can’t touch, smell or feel the warmth of other people through machines.
I created the artwork while thinking of someone who lived far away and wish for them a happy and healthy life.
You are not alone.
Mono no Aware
“Mono no Aware” is a Japanese term for the beauty of impermanence.
I was inspired by a lot of holes on leaves in the English style rose garden.
I made 108 paper leaves then I cut out holes one by one.
I made more than 3,000 beautiful holes in total. Wow what a number!
I am so glad that it went very well as I planned and I am overwelmed to receive many possitive comments about my origami installation.
Glen St Theatre exhibition
I was inspired to create “Whirlpool of Love” by the story of Lake Te Anau in New Zealand and the Japanese story of the Red String.
The lake became wild because a woman didn’t keep a secret…
